Hands carries a huge range of Hand Knotted Carpets, Hand Tufted Carpets and Flat Weave Dhurries. In terms of design types, Hands has Contemporary and Modern Rugs, Traditional Persian Carpets and Transitional Carpets. The most widely used materials are Wool, Pure Silk, Bamboo Silk and Botanical Silk etc.

For Home you can choose any rug from the Hands Collection as all of them are suited for residential usage. However, for Hotels Hand Tufted carpets in 100% Wool or with a 20% Nylon blend are most widely used.

For the formal Living room, you can make a selection according to the type of interior or your personal taste. For a very contemporary look, select from the Urbane and Lost Heritage range. For a traditional look, the Amberlynn Collection or Persian carpets collection is recommended.

For the bedroom rug, Bamboo silk rugs are recommended. They are very soft to feel and are available across almost all the design genres and qualities.

Any rug from the Forma collection is ideal for a kids room. They come in very interesting shapes and are made of Bamboo Silk, with a plush look and soft feel.

You can select either Hand Knotted or Hand Tufted carpet for the Dining Room. An overall pattern or border design is most recommended for a carpet under the Dining Table. Options are available in the Cryptos and Graphx Collection.

Carpets and rugs are available in standard sizes starting from 3’ x 5’, 4’6’’ x 6’6’’, 5’6’’ x 8’, 6’ x 9’, 8’ x 10’, 9’ x 12’, 10’ x 14’ and 12’ x 15’. Custom sizes can also be made as per requirement.

Yes. Since the carpets and rugs are handmade, they can be made in any size, small or big. Extra-large carpets can be produced in a single piece.

Yes custom made carpets and rugs are available. You can select any design and change the colour, size and material of your choice. You can also provide your own design, or the Design Studio can create a Bespoke rug for you.

Technically, a carpet is a floor covering that is laid wall to wall, while rugs cover only a small or specific area. In India, “carpet” and “rug” are commonly used interchangeably to denote a floor covering.

Hands carpets are made of different materials including Wool, Pure silk, Botanical silk, Bamboo Silk and Banana Silk. A Wool-Nylon blend is also used for commercial hospitality requirement. Outdoor carpets are available in Polypropylene and Polyester, while some flatweave rugs are made of Jute and Sisal.

Hands is available only at exclusive stores in Delhi, Mumbai and Dubai.

Only Hand Knotted carpets are washable; the rest are dry cleanable. Washing must be done by a professional washer only. Please refer to the maintenance guide on the website for more details.

Hand Knotted carpets have a very long life when used with care — some qualities are heirloom carpets that can be passed on to the next generation. Hand Tufted carpets can easily last 5 to 7 years with proper use and maintenance.

Yes, all Hands carpets and rugs are Greenguard certified.

Fibre shedding is a common occurrence with new carpeting. Carpets shed fibres from the pile through foot traffic and vacuuming. This is normal for carpets with staple/spun yarn in a cut pile. Shedding will drastically reduce within a few months of installation and will continue in much smaller amounts throughout the carpet's lifetime.

Yes, rugs can be sent to your house so that you can make a right choice for your space. This service is available only at the locations where Hands has stores.
