The World on a Fingerprint
I see the human identity as whorls and swirls of colour and texture.
Each as common and as unique as the fingerprint.
- DYNAMIC TEXTURES
- SCULPTED TEXTURES
- PLUSH TEXTURES
- SURFACE TEXTURES
- LOCAL PATTERNS
- MODERN PATTERNS
- LEVELED SURFACES
- EVOKING SURFACES.
The fingerprint as a symbol for humanity’s unified consciousness.
A Tropical Spectrum
Despite having lived here in Indonesia my whole life, I am still mesmerised by its natural beauty.
The familiar landscapes that offer new views everyday as the sun dances across the sky.
As personal as this project was to me, it carries glimpses of my home.
The texture, the local patterns and the shifting colours of the Indonesian waters and skies with the setting sun.
THE FINGERPRINT AS THE HUMAN IDENTITY. THE FINGERPRINT IS A SYMBOL OF OUR DIVERSITY AS WELL AS OUR UNITY AS HUMAN BEINGS. WE UNITE AND COME TOGETHER AS ONE, HELPING AND FIGHTING FOR ONE ANOTHER, FOR A BETTER FUTURE INCORPORATING THE COLOURS OF INDONESIAN WATERS AND SKIES DURING SUNSET.
As Unified as Diverse
Indonesia’s national motto, Bhineka Tunggal Ika which means ‘Unity in Diversity’ is of great significance to me. Ours is a country where different cultures, traditions, languages and beliefs coexist in harmony. The nucleus of my design, this Indonesian philosophy is both a hope and a promise for a better, more united world.
