What the eyes once saw, the hands now preserve.
Each rug holds a fragment of remembrance, kept tenderly whole.

At Hands, every collection begins with a story. Postcards is one that journeys across borders, cultures, and
moments in time, capturing not just the look of a place but the feeling it leaves behind. Born from travel and
reflection, it carries the colours, the energy, after you've left, the rhythms that stay in your mind, and the
small details that somehow begin to feel like home.
The collection comes to life through the vision of sisters Asmaa and Mentalla Said, founders of DOODLE AND THE GANG. For them, design is a way of keeping memories alive. It is how they translate emotions into form and texture, creating pieces that feel both deeply personal and widely relatable. Every rug in Postcards is shaped by their experiences across cities and cultures, distilled into abstract compositions that invite you to find your own story within them. Their work is thoughtful and poetic, bridging nostalgia with modern craft.
The journey begins in Cairo with Twirl, inspired by the spinning motion of the Tannoura dancer, his layered garments captured in patterns that seem to move even when still. Aroosa follows as a playful tribute to the beloved Aroosa Tea packaging, a symbol of warmth, conversation, and togetherness in Egyptian homes.
